Clearshield Paint Protection

Before picking up your new car, make sure you protect it before any damage occurs to the paint.  Damage can occur in many forms- rock chips, road debris, parking “love taps”, low quality detailing. We are also able to offer the new “self-healing” XPEL Ultimate film, that is able to be repaired in most cases from light scratches and damage (www.xpel.com)

XPEL Ultimate film combines best-in-class durability and clarity that shed contaminants that would otherwise stain or yellow conventional films. The clear coat employs special elastomeric polymers that ‘heal’ over time eliminating swirl marks and other fine scratches without having to do anything. XPEL Ultimate carries a 10 year warranty against, yellowing, cracking, peeling, staining, and hazing.

These are some of the paint correction services we offer:

  • Basic paint protection: partial on the front of hood, partial on front of fenders, full bumper.  Options include headlights, mirror covers

  • Full front paint protection: clear film covers entire front end to eliminate any seams that you get with the partial protection mentioned above.  It covers the full hood, full fenders, full bumper.  This also helps eliminate any debris that may reach further along the body panels that the basic partial protection covers.  Options include headlights, mirror covers, A-pillars (especially for cars with a lower stance i.e. sports cars low to the ground).

  • Optional body parts include:

    • Rocker panels: eliminate any damage from shoes or objects when entering/exiting the vehicle.  Common practice is for people to tap the rocker panels when entering the vehicle to remove any excess dirt from their shoes before getting into the vehicle.  This often leads to scratches and paint chips.

    • Full door panels: this helps with door ding scratches, door ding paint chips, accidental or intentional paint damage.  This is a popular application with city cars that park on the streets due to constant friction with other car doors and high traffic areas.

    • Cargo loading area: prevents damage when loading/unloading cargo into the trunk/hatch area.  Many vehicles have painted areas next to the rear cargo areas, and are a common area of paint damage
